Copper to Frisco

Copper Mountain Ski Resort, known for  Woodward, an in-door and out-door skate park with a snowboard jump into a foam pit is not all it offers. It could also be the starting point of an immensely scenic downhill ride into the marina town of Frisco. Cruising down Temple Trail through the Ten Mile Pass this down hill bike  or longboard ride carries you along side Ten Mile Creek on the western side of the Tenmile Mountain Range. The western side of Peak 4 and Tenmile Peaks edge the stratosphere as craggy castle like chimneys rise from the mountain side. Fluttered on either side of the trail, crystal clear water Curtain Ponds greet you with a soothing stillness as you start your descent. The ride is pretty flat until you pass the Curtain Ponds and make a slight curve around a ridge, then the coral like western side of the Tenmile Range is in clear view. Now you start to cruise, the first hill is definitely the fastest as you reach near 15 mph on a longboard and probably 20 mph on a bike, be cautious of bikers passing you and biker's beware of on coming traffic as you pass. The trail is fairly straight as there are no sharp turns so your good to bomb this all the way! The Temple Trail is beautiful, starting with tranquil clear water ponds, then an immense mountain side view until entering thick Evergreen and Aspen Pine forests that eventually lead right onto Main Street in Frisco. This ride is the perfect ride and if you decide to start in Frisco and truck your way up to Copper Mountain this cruise down is worth all your hard work. Temple Trail from Copper Mountain to Frisco is a must, weather your on bike, board, or foot you will enjoy every minute of this adventure.
